Practicals will be divided into 4 modules:

Module A: Protein Trapping

Defining conditions for trapping a membrane protein with amphipols and analyzing the resulting complexes by size exclusion chromatography.

Module B: Amphipol-assisted folding of a membrane protein.

Module C: Amphipol-assisted in-vitro synthesis (IVS) of a membrane protein.

Module D: Surface Plasmon Resonnance (SPR).

Amphipol-mediated immobilization of a membrane protein and detection of antibody binding.
