We will test in the field the hypothesis and working models from Theme 1 and Theme 4. This will be performed through collaboration with the Roscoff Biological Station (SBR, France), which host some of us every year in June, at the period of diatoms and dinoflagellate bloom. The collaboration with Tara Oceans will also allow us to get a widespread view of how NPQ correlated with environmental factors, like light, nutrient availability or temperature, thanks to the impressive fluorescence dataset generated during the 2-year campaign circumventing the Earth.
