The 2nd Montagne Ste Geneviève Workshop on NMR of Biological Solids
IBPC, 13 rue Pierre et Marie Curie, 75005 Paris, France
Friday, September 16, 2011This is the final announcement for our 1-day workshop on NMR of Biological Solids in Paris, France on friday, september 16, 2011, right after the Alpine NMR conference in Chamonix (http://www.alpine-conference.org/).
Our program is now available and it will include sessions on membranes, membrane proteins, fibrils and other applications of solid-state NMR in biological solids. Each session will include a talk on solid-state NMR and a talk from a scientist using a different field. Confirmed speakers are: Mei Hong, Jim Davis, Clemens Glaubitz, Gemma Comellas, Philippe Nadaud, Paul Vasos, Eve Pécheur, Olivier Lambert and Human Rezaei.
The workshop is free of charge, but if you want to attend, you need to fill out the form that you can download here (.doc format). The number of participants has been limited to 30 people.
If you need to stay in Paris overnight, you should hurry up to make arrangements because hotels tend to be quite full in Paris at this time of the year (and at all times). Remember that Paris is about six hours away from Chamonix by either plane or train.
If you stay in Paris for the week-end, you should know that it coincides with Les Journées du Patrimoine, where most public buildings are open to visit, for free. Enjoy your stay...
Thank you very much,
The local organising committee, Monique Chan-Huot (ENS, Paris), Luminita Duma (ENS, Paris), Edith Godard (IBPC, Paris), Christina Sizun (ICSN, Gif-sur-Yvette) and Dror Warschawski (IBPC, Paris)
