Presentation of the laboratory

The UMR7141 « Membrane Physiology and Molecular Biology of the Chloroplast » is affiliated with the CNRS and Pierre and Marie Curie University (UMPC-ParisVI). We are composed of around fifteen permanent staff (researchers, lecturer-researchers, engineers, technicians and administration) and around ten non-permanent collaborators, graduate students and post-doctorates. This laboratory is dedicated to the study of the biogenesis and function of the photosynthetic apparatus which is present in the thylakoids, the network of internal membranes in the chloroplast. UMR7141 continues the scientific tradition of the « Photosynthetic Service » established within the IBPC since 1967.
