 french version

The UMR7141 « Chloroplast Biology and Light-sensing in Microalgae » is affiliated with the CNRS and Sorbonne Université. We are composed of around twenty permanent staff (researchers, lecturer-researchers, engineers, technicians and administration) and around fifteen non-permanent collaborators, graduate students and post-doctorates. This laboratory is dedicated to the study of light-driven processes (photosynthesis and photoperception) and chloroplast biology. UMR7141 address key questions on the biology, evolution and ecology of microalgae by focusing on different molecular model systems (e.g., Chlamydomonas reinhardtii and Phaeodactylum tricornutum) and on ecological relevant phytoplanktonic species, investigated with eco-physiology, biophysic, biochemical and genomic and genetic approaches. UMR7141 continues the scientific tradition of the « Photosynthetic Service » established within the IBPC since 1967. More information >>
